Rome earthquake relief - the families of Lakeview Lane
The earthquake damaged 53 homes in the families of Lakeview Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The earthquake hit the families of Lakeview Lane on 24 August. My home was one of 53 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $940
• Clean water and purification supplies: $330
• Tools and labor for repairs: $630
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Giulia
Sure. The biggest one is food parcels for displaced families, $940. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.
Thinking of you and your family, Giulia. Hope this works out for you.
Rooting for you, Giulia. Hope you get there.
rooting for you, Giulia. Your post was clear and honest. After 27 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Rome
Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Shinjuku.
Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Rome
