Roman needs a braille note-taker - help us make it happen
A braille note-taker would give Roman independence - we are $450 away.

Roman lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at the Addis Ababa Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
Her current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Roman could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• braille note-taker: $360
• First-year servicing plan: $65
Thanks for being kind about this.

Sending strength. Get well soon. Love from Dar es Salaam
Best of luck, Bereket. Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Addis Ababa.
