Rocío was diagnosed with a hernia that has become strangulated in August. The surgeon at Cincinnati General Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and She is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $8,750, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $6,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Cincinnati General Hospital since August. The doctors say a hernia that has become strangulated will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $8,750 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Rocío struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Rocío won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
