Rocío was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in March. The oncology team at Puebla Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Rocío is 24, worked as a construction supervisor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Puebla Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $3,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,650 • Scans and lab work: $500 • Transport to Puebla Cancer Centre: $240 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $175 • Household costs while unable to work: $485 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
