Roberto needs my food truck repaired to get back to work in Bronx
Roberto drives for a living in Bronx, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 6 weeks.
🇺🇸 New York, United States2,309 views
I make my living with my food truck. 6 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $230
• engine head gasket replacement (parts): $940
• Towing and inspection: $130
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
