Robert's laparoscopic cyst removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Robert needs laparoscopic cyst removal at Saint Mary Hospital and the family is $3,850 short of the hospital's estimate.

In November I was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc. My surgeon at Saint Mary Hospital recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and I have been placed on the schedule for March. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $4,800, and after what our health plan will pay, I'm still $3,850 short.
Doctors at Saint Mary Hospital told me a herniated spinal disc will get worse without laparoscopic cyst removal. I work as a hotel cleaner, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $4,800 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a hotel cleaner have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. I'll not be able to walk without help during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $410
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $620
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $2,150
• Post-operative medication: $410
• Travel and lodging for the family: $260
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
