Rita needs an adapted tricycle - help us make it happen
An adapted tricycle would give Rita independence - we're $450 away.
🇬🇭 Ghana825 views
Rita lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Accra General Hospital has assessed her and recommended an adapted tricycle. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
Her current equipment is 9 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Rita could get to the shops and visit friends. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $450 goes:
• adapted tricycle: $370
• Fitting and training sessions: $50
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• First-year servicing plan: $10
