Rides to dialysis three times a week for Scarlett in San Diego
A rota of drivers to San Diego General Hospital would keep Scarlett on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇺🇸 San Diego, California, United States129 views
Scarlett has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to San Diego General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Scarlett can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 18 km each way.
Scarlett is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.
