Rides to dialysis three times a week for Remedios in Calamba
Remedios needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
๐ต๐ญ Calamba, Laguna, Philippines147 views
Remedios has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Calamba Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Remedios can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way.
Remedios is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.

Sending good thoughts. Your post was clear and honest. After 15 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Best of luck. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
rooting for you, Ryan. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Peshawar donated after I showed her your page.
Sending love, Ryan. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
You're not alone, Ryan. Looking forward to the next update. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Durban.
