Rides to dialysis three times a week for Osama in Sydney
Could you drive Osama to the Sydney Dialysis Unit on Wednesday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.
🇦🇺 2009, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia1,025 views
Osama has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Sydney Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Osama can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 16 km each way.
Osama is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
