Rides to dialysis three times a week for Nana in Takoradi

A rota of drivers to the Takoradi Kidney Centre would keep Nana on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Takoradi
Nana has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Takoradi Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Nana can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way. Nana is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thank you for reading my story.
