Richard needs my pickup repaired to get back to work in Accra

Richard drives for a living in Accra, and a broken engine head gasket has stopped all income for 10 weeks.

🇬🇭 Accra, Greater Accra, Ghana1,513 views
I make my living with my pickup. 10 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $150 goes: • Towing and inspection: $15 • Labor charges: $50 • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $85 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Richard

        • You're not alone. Hope you get there. We're a small family in Baton Rouge but we're thinking of you. Thinking of Accra.

          • you're not alone, Richard. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Birmingham so I could bring a meal
