The Baobab hillside has been used as an informal dump for years. This June, 107 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 114 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good. We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist. The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade. All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials. We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted. Where the $300 goes: • Native saplings and stakes: $165 • Tools and protective gear: $85 • Signage and educational materials: $50 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Geeta

  1. Quick update: $146 raised so far (49%). the plan for tools and protective gear is now scheduled. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 49% funded and I made the first payment toward signage and educational materials.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($126 in total) I met with the nursery and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
