Restoring Maple Beach: a volunteer-led project in Brescia
Help us clean and replant Maple Beach before the October planting window closes.
Anywhere in the world1,262 views
Maple Beach has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 118 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 65 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the district council, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $820
• Waste removal and skip hire: $320
• Signage and educational materials: $210
I hope life is good to you.

How is Elisa doing now?
take care, Elisa. Shared it with a few friends.
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Elisa.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. native saplings and stakes comes first ($820) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. Greetings from Warangal
