Resettlement support for 9 people arriving in Khulna
Help a family of 8 start their new life in Khulna: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Venezuela 12 months ago after we could no longer live safely. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Khulna. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a shopkeeper in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
Funds are managed by the Khulna Refugee Support Network, a registered organization, which pays the landlord and suppliers on the family's behalf.
Where the $500 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $50
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $30
• Rent deposit and first month: $280
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $140
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hang in there, Nipa. Hope this works out for you. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this, Nipa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 18 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
rooting for you, Nipa. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Oakland.
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings
