Dortmund
My family left Afghanistan 10 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Dortmund. We're a family of seven and we're safe, but we arrived with very little. Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in November. I was a mechanic in Afghanistan, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well. We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months. All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent). Where the $1,900 goes: • Language classes and bus passes: $410 • Winter clothing and school supplies: $430 • Rent deposit and first month: $1,060 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
