Resettlement support for 8 people arriving in Gujranwala
Help a family of 5 start their new life in Gujranwala: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Syria 11 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Gujranwala. We're a family of six and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in April.
I was a nurse in Syria, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $450 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $210
• Language classes and bus passes: $60
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $160
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $20
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Wishing you the best, Ali. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 18 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
you're not alone, Ali. Your post was clear and honest. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Gujranwala.
Sending love, Ali. I hope things turn around soon.
Stay strong, Ali. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Mandeville.

Good luck, Ali. Your post was clear and honest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it
