Resettlement support for 8 people arriving in Brooklyn
The Hashemi family are rebuilding in Brooklyn after leaving Ukraine; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Ukraine 14 months ago after we were targeted for our work. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Brooklyn. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in May.
I was a mechanic in Ukraine, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $1,550
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,450
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $780
• Language classes and bus passes: $260
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $210
Glad we found this place.

Sending strength. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Brooklyn.
Hope it all works out, Naomi. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Brooklyn!
