Resettlement support for 5 people arriving in Mukono
The Karimi family are rebuilding in Mukono after leaving Myanmar; your gift pays for housing basics.

My family left Myanmar 11 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Mukono. We're a family of eight and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 4 months of rent, and that support ends in November.
I was a nurse in Myanmar, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $600 goes:
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $55
• Rent deposit and first month: $350
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $195
With deep gratitude,
Apio

thinking of you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'm in nursing myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
good luck, Apio. This could happen to any of us. After 12 years in public service I know how hard it is to ask for anything.
