Resettlement support for 5 people arriving in Likoni
The Karimi family are rebuilding in Likoni after leaving Yemen; your gift pays for housing basics.
🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya1,384 views
My family left Yemen 14 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Likoni. We're a family of five and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a mechanic in Yemen, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $550 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $350
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $85
• Language classes and bus passes: $115
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Eunice
Rent deposit and first month is $350 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks, that means a lot.
Thinking of you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
Hang in there, Eunice. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Thinking of Likoni.
