Resettlement support for 5 people arriving in Ankara
Help a family of 7 start their new life in Ankara: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Ethiopia 6 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Ankara. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was a shopkeeper in Ethiopia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $950 goes:
• Rent deposit and first month: $300
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $330
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $155
• Language classes and bus passes: $90
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $75

Hope things get better soon, Taner. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless!
A colleague of mine might know someone for this in Ankara. I'll ask around and let you know.
Wishing you peace, Taner. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out.
sending strength. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Ankara.
