Resettlement support for 4 people arriving in Springfield
Help a family of 6 start their new life in Springfield: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.
🇺🇸 United States1,364 views
My family left Venezuela 12 months ago after our home was destroyed. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Springfield. We're a family of four and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 3 months of rent, and that support ends in October.
I was an electrician in Venezuela, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $220
• Language classes and bus passes: $610
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $1,300
• Winter clothing and school supplies: $670
Thank you so much.
