Resettlement support for 4 people arriving in Dhaka
Help a family of 4 start their new life in Dhaka: furniture, rent deposit and language classes.

My family left Somalia 7 months ago after the conflict closed our school and clinic. We spent time in a camp before we were resettled in Dhaka. We're a family of five and we're safe, but we arrived with very little.
Our resettlement agency has provided 2 months of rent, and that support ends in December.
I was a teacher in Somalia, and I'm studying the language every evening. Our daughter and son have started school and are doing well.
We want nothing more than to be self-sufficient. This fund will help us through the first six months.
All purchases will be documented and photos shared (with the family's consent).
Where the $500 goes:
• Phone and internet for school and job search: $35
• Beds, table and basic furniture: $155
• Rent deposit and first month: $310
I hope life is good to you.

So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. After 11 years in retail I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
How is Tithi doing now?
Take care. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
hope things get better soon, Tithi. I hope things turn around soon. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust
everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out.
