Renu's prostate cancer treatment fund
Supporting Renu through prostate cancer: medication, transport to the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute, and living costs while She can't work.
🇳🇵 Bhaktapur, Bagmati, Nepal1,096 views
Renu was diagnosed with prostate cancer in July. The oncology team at the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Renu is 42, worked as a shop owner until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $500 goes:
• Transport to the Bhaktapur Oncology Institute: $155
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $75
• Household costs while unable to work: $270
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
