Remedios was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in November. The surgeon at Makati Regional Medical Center recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,600, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my mother has been in and out of Makati Regional Medical Center since November. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Remedios struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
