Rekha's final semester of a law degree in Kathmandu
Rekha is one semester away from finishing a law degree but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $500.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a law degree at the Kathmandu Institute of Technology, and I'm one semester away from graduating. I have worked as a library assistant to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $500.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a 3.9 average, and my professor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the the Kathmandu Institute of Technology bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $500 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $185
• Final term tuition: $280
• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $10
Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Rekha
Wanted to say thank you properly. 21% funded and the plan for textbooks and materials is now scheduled.
Update from Kathmandu: I met with the university and confirmed the amounts. We're at 21% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us. - Rekha
Good news. Because of your gifts ($70 in total) the plan for textbooks and materials is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Toronto so I could bring a meal. All the best
