Reiko is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Reiko was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May. The oncology team at Tokyo University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks.
Reiko is 31, worked as a hairdresser until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tokyo University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $570
• Household costs while unable to work: $870
• Transport to Tokyo University Hospital: $810
