Rebuilding after the winter storm: Old Town village needs your help
Neighbors in Old Town village are rebuilding after the winter storm; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The winter storm hit Old Town village on 7 June. My home was one of 16 damaged, and 14 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,900 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,200
• Clean water and purification supplies: $1,000
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $960
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,000
• Tools and labor for repairs: $740
I hope life is good to you.

this could happen to any of us. After 18 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
