Rebuilding after the wildfire: Riverside village needs your help
The wildfire damaged 40 homes in Riverside village. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The wildfire hit Riverside village on 26 June. My home was one of 40 damaged, and 5 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $5,450 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $1,300
• Clean water and purification supplies: $620
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,000
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,300
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,230

Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
