Rebuilding after the typhoon: the Harbor settlement needs your help
The typhoon damaged 78 homes in the Harbor settlement. We are raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The typhoon hit the Harbor settlement on 7 September. My home was one of 78 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,450 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $670
• Clean water and purification supplies: $140
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $190
• Food parcels for displaced families: $195
• Tools and labor for repairs: $255
With deep gratitude,
Đào

Sending good thoughts, Đào. Hope you get there.
More neighborhoods should do this. Wish I lived closer to Kathmandu so I could bring a meal. Blessings.
Good luck, Đào. I hope things turn around soon. All the best.
