Rebuilding after the typhoon: Marketplace village needs your help
Neighbors in Marketplace village are rebuilding after the typhoon; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The typhoon hit Marketplace village on 27 August. My home was one of 45 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Food parcels for displaced families: $145
• Tools and labor for repairs: $260
• Roofing sheets and timber: $430
• Clean water and purification supplies: $165
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Uberlândia.
