Rebuilding after the landslide: the Lakeview settlement needs your help
The landslide damaged 36 homes in the Lakeview settlement. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The landslide hit the Lakeview settlement on 2 August. My home was one of 36 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $850 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $260
• Clean water and purification supplies: $125
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $165
• Food parcels for displaced families: $120
• Tools and labor for repairs: $180
Thanks for being kind about this.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Umesh.
It's all in the list in the story. roofing sheets and timber is the big one at $260, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
Sending strength. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.
Any update on how things are going in Dharan?
This could happen to any of us. Sent it to 15 people at work. Blessings.
