Rebuilding after the landslide: Hillcrest village needs your help
After the landslide, families in Hillcrest village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇮🇳 India325 views
The landslide hit Hillcrest village on 27 January. My home was one of 56 damaged, and 3 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $700 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $175
• Food parcels for displaced families: $210
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $155
• Clean water and purification supplies: $160
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

You're not alone. More neighborhoods should do this. My neighbor in Fortaleza donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Mumbai.
