Rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block: the Orchard district needs your help
Neighbors in the Orchard district are rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the Orchard district on 2 April. My home was one of 57 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the community hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $6,050 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $820
• Roofing sheets and timber: $3,050
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $940
• Tools and labor for repairs: $1,240
With deep gratitude,
Zvi

Keep going. This could happen to any of us. I'll check back for the next update.
Shared this with my family. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Keep going, Zvi. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like
