Rebuilding after the house fire that spread across the block: the Lakeview district needs your help
After the house fire that spread across the block, families in the Lakeview district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The house fire that spread across the block hit the Lakeview district on 30 August. My home was one of 65 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,550 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,100
• Tools and labor for repairs: $610
• Clean water and purification supplies: $840
With deep gratitude,
Ezra

Sending love. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
great idea, hope you get there. Greetings from Dnipro
Stay strong. More neighborhoods should do this. Put this on a community board in Amsterdam this morning.
