The flood hit the families of Harbor Lane on 26 August. My home was one of 42 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates. Where the $2,300 goes: • Roofing sheets and timber: $990 • Clean water and purification supplies: $110 • Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $340 • Food parcels for displaced families: $460 • Tools and labor for repairs: $400 I hope life is good to you. - Raúl

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Raúl

      • Raúl K. EspinozaOwnerAnswer

It's all in the list in the story. roofing sheets and timber is the big one at $990, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
