Rebuilding after the cyclone: Hillcrest village needs your help
After the cyclone, families in Hillcrest village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The cyclone hit Hillcrest village on 27 July. My home was one of 58 damaged, and 4 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $800 goes:
• Clean water and purification supplies: $100
• Tools and labor for repairs: $280
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $135
• Food parcels for displaced families: $285
Every share and every dollar helps.

Sending strength. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings!
Sending love, Rina. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Juiz de Fora
projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Thinking of Narayanganj.
Looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Anaheim.
Wishing you peace, Rina. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Awka so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Dundee.
