Rebuilding after the cyclone: Greenfield village needs your help
After the cyclone, families in Greenfield village need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.
🇮🇳 Uttar Pradesh, India505 views
The cyclone hit Greenfield village on 18 June. My home was one of 73 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $950 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $370
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $145
• Clean water and purification supplies: $190
• Tools and labor for repairs: $245
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending strength, Vaishali. Hope this works out for you.
thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. All the best.
Sending love. Great idea, hope you get there. After 9 years in accounting I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless.
