Raúl was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at Arlington Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Raúl is 34, worked as a construction supervisor until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Arlington Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $10,750 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,500 • Scans and lab work: $760 • Transport to Arlington Regional Medical Center: $470 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $760 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,260 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
