Barranquilla
Raúl was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in January. The oncology team at Barranquilla Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in April. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Raúl is 45, worked as a bank teller until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Barranquilla Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,200 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $440 • Transport to Barranquilla Regional Medical Center: $140 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,450 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $170 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
