Ratna's final semester of a teaching qualification in Ubud
Ratna is one term away from finishing a teaching qualification but is blocked from enrolling by an unpaid balance of $600.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university. I'm studying a teaching qualification at Ubud Community College, and I'm one term away from graduating. I have worked as a warehouse packer to pay my way, but this term my hours were cut and I have an unpaid balance of $600.
The registrar has told me I can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. I have a first-class average, and my faculty supervisor has written in support of my application for a payment plan.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support my younger siblings. Without enrolling this term I'd lose my place and my scholarship eligibility.
I'm not asking for a handout - I want to finish what I started and then help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Ubud Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $600 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $30
• Outstanding tuition balance: $410
• Final term tuition: $160
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Small update. $321 so far, I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($311 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $95 so far, I made the first payment toward outstanding tuition balance.
