Ramesh was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Rohini University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for November. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,200 short. my son has been in and out of Rohini University Hospital since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find. While we wait, Ramesh struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Ramesh won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
