Rajesh's final semester of an accounting degree in Chennai
A first-generation student, Rajesh needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.
🇮🇳 Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India214 views
Rajesh is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying an accounting degree at Chennai Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a shop assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $600.
The registrar has said Rajesh can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rajesh has a distinction average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rajesh would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Rajesh isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Chennai Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $600 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $260
• Final term tuition: $270
• Exam and lab fees: $60
• Textbooks and materials: $10
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 10 years in social work I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best
