A scheduled a craniotomy in November is out of reach without help covering $1,950 of the cost.

In August I was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. My surgeon at Petrópolis General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for November. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $3,900, and after what the public health scheme will pay, I'm still $1,950 short.
Doctors at Petrópolis General Hospital told me a benign brain tumor will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a retail assistant, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $3,900 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a retail assistant have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
Recovery is expected to take about 6 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
