I live with a rare neuromuscular condition. My occupational therapist at the Curitiba Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $200. My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could speak with the people around her. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $200 goes: • Fitting and training sessions: $100 • Delivery and set-up: $40 • First-year servicing plan: $60 I hope life is good to you.
