Radha was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in June. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended gallbladder removal, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $930, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since June. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $930 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Radha struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Radha won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
