Quezon City typhoon relief - Sunrise village

Neighbors in Sunrise village are rebuilding after the typhoon; every contribution goes to materials and supplies.

🇵🇭 1101, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines924 views
The typhoon hit Sunrise village on 1 December. My home was one of 85 damaged, and 7 families are still in temporary shelter at a borrowed warehouse. The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming. Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before. We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy. Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters. Where the $1,300 goes: • Food parcels for displaced families: $105 • Roofing sheets and timber: $590 • Tools and labor for repairs: $390 • Clean water and purification supplies: $215 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Rhea

  • Thinking of you and your family. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Quezon City.
