Pooja needs a stair-climbing aid - help us make it happen
Pooja needs a stair-climbing aid that the health system won't fund; the cost is $450.
🇮🇳 India1,028 views
Pooja lives with muscular dystrophy. The occupational therapist at Dwarka General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $450.
Her current equipment is 12 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 10 weeks.
With the right equipment Pooja could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $450 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $350
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
• First-year servicing plan: $40
