Plant 4,850 native trees around the Baobab wetland in Manila
A neighborhood-led restoration of the Baobab wetland needs $450 for saplings and equipment.

The Baobab wetland has been used as an informal dump for years. This July, 46 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 127 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the local forestry office, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $450 goes:
• Native saplings and stakes: $195
• Tools and protective gear: $115
• Waste removal and skip hire: $95
• Signage and educational materials: $45

is there anything that isn't money that would help Princess?
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We're a small family in Chennai but we're thinking of you
Hope things get better soon, Princess. Looking forward to the next update. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Blessings.
Best of luck, Princess. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Epe!
Thinking of you, Princess. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Santarém
