Plant 4,800 native trees around Cedar Creek in Rawalpindi
A neighborhood-led restoration of Cedar Creek needs $200 for saplings and equipment.
🇵🇰 Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan159 views
Cedar Creek has been used as an informal dump for years. This August, 31 neighbors turned up for a first cleanup, filling 49 bags in a single morning. Now we want to restore it for good.
We have a plan agreed with the city parks department, including native species selected by a local botanist.
The area floods more each year, and fish have returned for the first time in a decade after our first cleanup. Restoring it will protect homes and bring back shade.
All the labor is volunteered. We just need materials.
We'll post planting day photos and a count of every sapling planted.
Where the $200 goes:
• Signage and educational materials: $15
• Tools and protective gear: $65
• Native saplings and stakes: $120
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Take care. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Peoria
Keep going, Shazia. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Wish I lived closer to Derry so I could bring a meal. God bless.
